Baishan, named after Changbai Mountain — one of China's top ten peaks. Home to Tianchi (Heavenly Lake), the world's highest volcanic crater lake. Lonely Planet calls it "Northeast China's most sublime natural spectacle." Three days to summit the North Slope, descend into the underground forest, and soak in volcanic hot springs.

Day 1: Arrival at Erdao Baihe
North Slope gateway town. Stroll the Beauty Pine Park.
Day 2: North Slope Summit
Tickets: ¥125 + eco-bus ¥85 + summit shuttle ¥80
Dawn: Heavenly Lake
At 2,189m, Guinness World Record for highest volcanic lake. 16 peaks surround turquoise waters. Best visibility 9–11 AM.
Morning: Changbai Waterfall
68m cascade, world's tallest volcanic waterfall. Hot spring boiled eggs (¥10/3).
Afternoon: Small Heavenly Lake + Green Deep Pool + Underground Forest
A 50m-deep valley formed by volcanic eruption — primitive forest oxygen bar.
Evening: Volcanic hot springs (~¥198)
Day 3: West Slope or Korean Folk Village
Option A: West Slope
1,442 steps to lakeside. Alpine flower garden (July), Jinjiang Grand Canyon.
Option B: Korean Ethnic Village
Rice cake making, cold noodles, BBQ. Homestay ~¥150.
