Day 1: Xiangshan Cultural Line
Morning: Xiangshan Park
Huaibei's "green lung," highest point in northern Anhui. Emperor Qianlong's inscription "Hui Wo Nan Li." Xiantong Temple dates to the Western Jin Dynasty. Free.
Afternoon: Huaibei Museum
City's transformation from coal capital to eco-city. Sui-Tang Grand Canal artifacts. Free.
Evening: Nanhu Wetland Park
Converted from mining subsidence. Sunset views with migratory birds. Try diguo ji (coal-pot chicken, ¥50–80) at nearby stalls.
Day 2: Ancient Towns & Lakes
Morning: Linhuan Ancient Town
~40 min from city center. Thousand-year-old Grand Canal town. Traditional tea houses — stick tea with drum storytelling.
Afternoon: Qianlong Lake
Legend says the Qianlong Emperor stopped here. Boat rides ~¥30.
