Day 1: Mangshi → Menghuan Golden Pagoda (50 RMB) → Food Street
Golden Pagoda — modeled on Myanmar's Shwedagon, gleaming gold in sunlight. Contains Buddha relics. Tree-Wrapped Pagoda (free) — banyan roots engulfing a Buddhist stupa. Food: Jingpo Ghost Chicken (lemon chili shredded chicken, 15-25 RMB), Paoluda coconut dessert (8-12 RMB), Dai Sapie (10-20 RMB), tropical fruits (3-10 RMB/jin).
Day 2: Ruili → Jiegao Port (free) → One Village Two Countries (30 RMB)
Jiegao — busiest China-Myanmar land port. One Village Two Countries — a Dai village split by the border. Swing across the border! Ruili night market — jade stalls everywhere (water is deep, don't buy if you don't know). 1.5h from Mangshi.
Day 3: Kaibangya Lake (free) or Nandian Tusi Office (30 RMB) → Departure
"Thousand Island Lake of Dehong" — 100+ islands in emerald water. Or Tusi Office — best-preserved chief's office in China, 500 years of history. Mangshi Airport (Kunming 50min). Budget: 600-1200 economy, 1500-2500 comfortable.
