Ji'an, anciently known as Luling, is Jiangxi's cultural powerhouse. Hometown of Ouyang Xiu and Wen Tianxiang. Bailuzhou Academy produced 17 top scholars. Jinggangshan is the cradle of the Chinese revolution. Anfu Wugong Mountain's alpine meadows are magnificent. Three days to experience the "Land of Literature and Righteousness."
🚶 Day 1: Luling Culture — Bailuzhou and Jizhou Kiln
Morning: Bailuzhou Academy (Free) — Founded 1241 AD, one of Jiangxi's Four Great Academies. Wen Tianxiang studied here. Produced 17 top scholars. Set on an island in the Ganjiang River.
Afternoon: Jizhou Kiln Site (¥40) — One of China's top 10 ancient kilns. Famous for wood-leaf Tenmoku bowls — real leaves fired into the glaze with visible veins, a ceramic miracle. Experience pottery making.
Evening: Ji'an Fried Noodles (¥8-12), Clay Pot Soup (¥5-10), Crispy Layered Cake (¥3-5)
🚶 Day 2: Jinggangshan — Cradle of the Chinese Revolution
Full Day: Jinggangshan Scenic Area (¥190, valid 5 days, includes shuttle)
China's first rural revolutionary base. Mao Zedong and Zhu De founded the Red Army here. 81.2% forest coverage — both red heritage and green treasure.
Key sites: Jinggangshan Revolution Museum (free), Mao's Former Residence at Ciping, Huangyangjie (famous battle site), Wuzhi Peak (featured on the 100-yuan note), Longtan Waterfall Group.

Evening in Ciping: Red Rice and Pumpkin Soup (¥15-20), Smoked Bamboo Shoots with Pork (¥15-25), Mountain Stream Fish (¥20-30)
🚶 Day 3: Wugong Mountain or Diaoyuan Ancient Village
Option A: Anfu Wugong Mountain (¥70) — Less crowded than the Pingxiang route. Golden Summit at 1,918m with vast alpine meadows. Cable car + walk about 2 hours to summit.
Option B: Diaoyuan Ancient Village (Free) — Village settled by Ouyang Xiu's descendants for a thousand years. Ming-Qing architecture and ancient camphor trees.
