🚶 Day 1: Xianling Tomb — UNESCO World Heritage
Full Day: Xianling Tomb (¥60, Zhongxiang) — The joint tomb of Emperor Jiajing's parents, inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage in 2000 as part of the Imperial Tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The Sacred Way with stone animal statues is magnificent. Museum displays royal artifacts. Allow 3-4 hours.
Evening: Zhongxiang city — try local bean curd and rice wine.
Food: Zhongxiang Bean Curd (¥5-10), Minglou Rice Wine (¥10-20), Jianghan Fish (¥20-30)
🚶 Day 2: Dahong Mountain Scenic Area
Full Day: Dahong Mountain (¥100) — A sacred Buddhist and Taoist mountain with ancient temples, waterfalls, and karst caves. The summit offers panoramic views of the Jianghan Plain. Hike through primeval forests to Huangxian Cave and Baiguo Temple. Allow 5-6 hours. Summer retreat destination.
Food: Mountain vegetable dishes (¥15-25), Dahong mushroom soup (¥10-15)
🚶 Day 3: Moshui Lake or Qujialing Archaeological Site
Option A: Moshui Lake Wetland Park (Free) — Beautiful wetland with lotus flowers in summer, bird watching, and boat tours.
Option B: Qujialing Site (Free, Jingshan) — Neolithic archaeological site revealing 5,000-year-old rice cultivation culture. Museum on-site.
Evening: Return via high-speed rail. Wuhan 1.5 hours, Yichang 1 hour.
