Nanyang, anciently known as Wancheng — "I was once a commoner, farming in Nanyang" (Zhuge Liang). The legendary strategist lived here for 10 years. Also home to Medical Sage Zhang Zhongjing, Science Sage Zhang Heng, and Business Sage Fan Li. Nanyang's Dushan Jade is one of China's Four Famous Jades. 🚶 Day 1: Wulonggang — Where Zhuge Liang Farmed
Morning: Wuhou Shrine / Wulonggang (¥50) Zhuge Liang's hermitage for 10 years — where Liu Bei's famous "Three Visits to the Thatched Cottage" took place. Ancient cypress trees, numerous stone steles, and Zhuge Liang's statue in the main hall. The annual autumn sacrifice on the 27th of the 8th lunar month is Nanyang's grandest traditional event.
Afternoon: Nanyang Han Dynasty Stone Relief Museum (Free) Nanyang has China's richest collection of Han Dynasty stone reliefs — over 2,000 pieces depicting Han social life, mythology, and astronomy.

🚶 Day 2: Medical Sage Temple + Dushan Jade
Morning: Medical Sage Temple (¥20) Memorial to Eastern Han physician Zhang Zhongjing, author of "Treatise on Cold Damage" — China's medical classic. His tomb and dynastic stone steles are preserved here.
Afternoon: Dushan Jade Carving Market Dushan Jade is one of China's Four Famous Jades. Nanyang is China's largest jade carving base. Visit workshops to see the carving process and buy jade souvenirs.
Evening: Baihe Wetland Park (Free) The Bai River flows through Nanyang — illuminated riverside walk, locals' favorite evening spot.
🚶 Day 3: Neixiang County Magistrate Office or Baotianman Nature Reserve
Option A: Neixiang County Office (¥60, Neixiang County) China's best-preserved ancient county government office, built 1304. Called "Number One County Office Under Heaven" — a living textbook of ancient Chinese government.
Option B: Baotianman Nature Reserve (¥60, Neixiang County) UNESCO Biosphere Reserve with primeval forest — the most important ecological barrier in central China. Rich wildlife, great for hiking and eco-tourism.
Evening: High-speed rail — Zhengzhou 1.5 hours, Wuhan 2 hours.
