Day 1: Tea Horse Road (50 RMB) → Pu'er Tea Expo Garden (60 RMB)
Morning: Ancient Tea Horse Road scenic area — restored post stations, horse caravan camps, trade markets. Horse riding experience (50-80 RMB/hour).
Afternoon: Pu'er Tea Expo Garden — everything about Pu'er tea from planting to fermentation. Tea tasting with professional tea master (30-50 RMB), ancient tea trees (hundreds of years old), tea culture museum.
Food: Bean soup rice noodles (5-8 RMB), peanut soup rice noodles (5-8 RMB), sour bamboo shoot fish (20-30 RMB), Hani fire-ash chicken (30-40 RMB).
Day 2: Jingmai Mountain Ancient Tea Forests (UNESCO World Heritage, full day)
2023 UNESCO inscription — world's first tea cultural heritage. Ten thousand mu of millennium-old tea forests. Blang and Dai peoples have grown tea here for 1,800 years. Ancient tea trees coexist with primeval forest.
Experiences: hike through ancient tea forests, visit Wengji Blang village, pick and roast tea leaves yourself (50-100 RMB), sunrise above sea of clouds. 2.5-3 hours from Pu'er. Stay overnight at Jingmai homestay (100-300 RMB).
Day 3: Nakeli Tea Horse Post Station (free) → Meizi Lake (free) → Departure
Nakeli — best-preserved Tea Horse Road post station. Stone paths, wooden houses, ancient well. Taste horse caravan hotpot (30-50 RMB/person). Meizi Lake — city green lung, lakeside boardwalk.
Departure: Simao Airport (Kunming 50min). HSR to Kunming 3h, Xishuangbanna 2h. Budget: 600-1200 economy, 1500-2500 comfortable.
