Day 1: Jinsixia Gorge (100 RMB, full day)
Shaanxi's most beautiful gorge — 20+ km long, narrowest point just 2m. Stream between towering cliffs, cascading waterfalls, emerald pools. Black Dragon Gorge (essence), Chain Waterfalls (10+ tiers), Suolong Waterfall (30m drop). 4-5 hours. 2.5h from Shangluo.
Day 2: Zhashui Karst Caves (82 RMB) → Phoenix Ancient Town (free)
Northwest China's largest cave system — 118 caves, 3 developed. Tianfu Cave — stalactites, stalagmites, stone curtains. Constant 15°C. Phoenix Ancient Town — best-preserved Ming-Qing architecture in Shangluo, zero commercialization. Tofu (3-5 RMB), cured meat with potatoes (10-15 RMB).
Day 3: Niubeiliang National Park (90 RMB) → Departure
Eastern Qinling's highest peak (2,802m). Qinling north-south divide — one foot in subtropical south, one in temperate north. Alpine meadow meets primeval forest. Golden autumn colors. Possible Qinling takin sighting. 1h from Shangluo.
HSR to Xi'an 40min. Budget: 500-1000 economy, 1200-2000 comfortable.
