Xingtai, one of Hebei's oldest cities with 3,500 years of history, once the capital of the Shang Dynasty. Kongshan Baiyun Cave is the world's largest karst cave at its latitude, a 500-million-year geological marvel. Xingtai is the birthplace of Chinese white porcelain (Xing Kiln). The Taihang Mountain front has abundant springs, earning it the name "Taihang Spring City."
🚶 Day 1: Kongshan Baiyun Cave — Underground Art Palace
Full Day: Kongshan Baiyun Cave (¥100, Lincheng County)
The world's largest karst cave at its latitude, formed 500 million years ago in the Cambrian period. Constant 17°C year-round — a summer refuge. Five chambers: Human World, Paradise, Underworld, Dragon Palace, and Maze. Stalactites in myriad forms illuminated by colorful lights. Tour 2-3 hours.
Afternoon: Tiantai Mountain (¥30) — Adjacent to the cave. Hike 1.5 hours for Taihang Mountain views.
Food: Lincheng Buckwheat Noodles (¥8-12), Ganglu Baked Bread (¥2-3)
🚶 Day 2: Ancient City, Dahuo Spring and Kaiyuan Temple
Morning: Dahuo Spring Park (Free) — Xingtai's most famous spring, symbol of the "Spring City."
Afternoon: Kaiyuan Temple (Free) + Xingtai Museum (Free) — Tang Dynasty temple. Museum features Xing Kiln white porcelain masterpieces.
Evening: Xingtai Braised Chicken (¥15-25), Jianbing (¥5-8), Braised Noodles (¥10-15), Weixian Three Whites (¥20-30)
🚶 Day 3: Tianhe Mountain or Qiannanyu
Option A: Tianhe Mountain (¥70) — "China's Love Mountain," birthplace of the Cowherd and Weaver Girl legend. Waterfalls and romantic themed sites.
Option B: Qiannanyu Ecological Area (¥50) — Former site of the Anti-Japanese Military University. Ecological restoration model with chestnut and apple orchards. Autumn fruit picking.
